Anniversary card with recycled calendar picture!

Always one for spotting a crafting opportunity from freebies, I cut up my mums 2009 calendar which had some gorgeous Art Deco designs on it. I made this card using a lovely red and black image, used the paisley cuttlebug folder to emboss red foil for the bottom half and finished off with my current trend of coloured gem stones.

Mum wants to buy the card off me to send to me and Andy for our anniversary!

Cuttlebug anniversary cards

I have been having a good play with my new cuttlebug this weekend! I need to revamp all my occasion cards before the new craft fair season and I've started with age cards and anniversaries. These are the results so far and I'm pretty happy with them.

On a roll!

Well while I was uploading one card I thought I might as well carry on! This one was a tricky one to make but I think it works. It says just what I needed it to say - sometimes less is more.

I printed the design onto acetate and finished it with the sentiment.

New cards

I have finally at last and eventually uploaded some of my new cards! This one is using my favourite paper of the week...I discovered it on my Baby Love CD and its just so cute and so versatile too. The Smirk tag was perfect to complete the card along with a matching button I found lurking in my tin.

The messages are for me

So I just watched a new episode of Crossing Over with John Edward. I love that man, he's so accurate and I love the way he delivers his messages. I particularly enjoy the snippets at the end of the shows...questions from the audience or just general spiritual titbits.

The things he says in these feel like they are aimed at me, like he is there looking directly at me and talking to me only. This latest episode he talked about the messages he gives in the gallery are for everyone, as validation. Yes so true.

He also spoke about first being told he was clairaudient - literally clear hearing. He says he expected to hear spirit like a tannoy announcement but that never happens. Its as simple as a thought in your head. Thats just blown me away...I often think when I ask spirit a question the answer is my own...possibly not then. I have been told that the first answer that enters your head when you question something is your gut instinct. I need to follow it.
